Behind the Scenes: Building "Shamel"

This project began with a deep dive into how Egyptians access healthcare, especially those left out of traditional medical coverage. Working with Vezeeta, I wrote and developed a film treatment built around real people and real data.

Over several weeks, I led the interviews with the team behind Shamel, from product leads to the head of tech, crafting a narrative that was both personal and strategic.

I handled writing, directing, cinematography, and post-production, working closely with Vezeeta’s team to shape a tone that was grounded, optimistic, and clear.
